Sacrifice
These are such slow days
Taken on a summer wing.
Lazy and languid in breezes,
Hesitant as butterflies
Over the green rained grass
And gentle nodding flowers.
You are a flash of nudity
Lost inside this long summer.
Lying still, in willing sacrifice,
Open to the sun's hot gaze,
Spread out eager for him.
While I, your night-time lover,
Sit in these shaded shadows
Waiting for darkness.
