Song of the Sailor’s Wives
Far across the seas there is a land
Where she stares over the waves
Watching for a moment she can understand
All these times that she saves
Up in her memory for a time
When she sees the ships return
On the waves that move to a rhyme
Of that song all sailor’s wives learn.
